Morti, Kuna de Wargandi Comarca, Darién Province, Panama

As a community with several existing resources that just don’t fit together correctly, Morti shows great need and promise for a permanent solution. The community has shown a great knowledge of the need for and desire for a water system. The people consider the project a worthwhile investment. The existing Water Committee is an excellent indicator of sustainability and will be worked with as closely as possible during the project.

Solea Water salvaged and utilized as much as possible of Mortí’s existing water system. Through simple miscellaneous small repairs, as well as a new pump and generator, the existing water system is up and running again. The technical support and skilled labor Solea Water was able to provide, as well as the sufficient generator for the entire water system, supplied the Mortí community with clean, drinkable water.
